thanks, I think the previous owner may have rotated them for lever comfort, or mirror angle, which is workn for me too, so if I can proof the level & top off if needed, I think I should be good to go would ya say?

Also a good idea is to replace the window if you can't see through it.

good idea, I figured it was machined into the housing
