![]() i have a 98 v-star classic 650
i had a new carb put in and it's running GREAT...no problem at all! but it's starting to drive me crazy! the carb seams to be squeaking on the flaps, anyone happen to know if i can use WD-40 or somthing else? don't want to ruin the carb or engine, so am asking for advice before useing anything that might damage it |

![]() A small amount of lube won't hurt anything. Use Tri-Flow.

![]() LOL@12er
i just let it run with the tank/air intake off and droped some 3 in 1 oil on the flaps seemed to work, no more squeaking anymore... my dad suggested i run it at the same time, that way if any oil did get into the engine it would blow it out the back |
