We all know that extending fork tubes with slugs is dangerous. The screw in point becomes a stress riser waiting to crack! I had a problem with them when I was younger, and you can google a ton of info about it. But recently I have been hearing about extended caps. I don't know much (anything) about these, but reading about how they work, it seems that the same inherant danger exists for these.
No? Anyone care to comment? Thanks! |

Never slug any motorcycle. I don't care what anyone says about it. The threaded joint is always very weak. Don't fall for it. If you do slug your tubes then name me as your beneficiary.

Yea, as I said. But what about extended caps? What's the deal there?

Just buy a set of extended tubes. Google Forking by Frank. he makes anything you need and in any length. Do it right if you are going to do it.
