Moke,
Not what I said. Torque is what makes acceleration. "Horsepower" is more a measurement of how much torque is applied over a period of time/distance. As I've said before, Torque is for the dragstrip, Horsepower is for the racetrack. That's why all the touring bikes have 'low' HP/big torque numbers; and most of the OEMs reconfigure their sportbike motors for torque when they build a FZ1 or 919. And, that's why 600 I-4s suck in town.

Sorry, it's zero. You can't tow a trailer with a Harley, it's against the rules. Either take less crap with you or buy a GoldWang. You'll also have to trade in the leather togs for a pair of khaki chinos tucked into leather wellies Andy Griffith style and a silk tavern or work related jacket, otherwise your fellow GoldWangers will shun you at Denny's.........

I saw a dude towin' with an Electra this F'n ginormous homebuilt trailer-thing. I believe it was made from one of them Harbor-Freight 5x8 trailers, with a home-made popup camper-thing on it. Had a hitch and ball looked like it belonged on the back of a '94 Ram, was stickin' out of these mudflaps attached to the back of the bike, that appeared to have been on a Kenworth at one time or another................

A motorcycle trailer costs several thousand dollars. I once figured that for the cost of a single motorcycle tent trailer I could pay for 100 motel room stays. Since My wife and I average a 4 motel stays per tour we'd still have to be touring 25 years from now (when I'm 87) to break even.
I prefer a motel to a sleeping bag. I'm just that way. I don't want to have to deal with setting up camp each day after riding all day.

He's probably pricing out GoldWangs....
I'm still at work too, eating a corned beef, onion and brown mustard sarnie plus an apple since I was busy at lunchtime

No need to try and educate me my friend, the bottom line isnt where tourqe or horspower are derived from. The point I was making regaurdless of what you just stated is that you would lose hp by hooking up a trailer, thats all. Besides 600's are perfect for in town, light, and high reving, Id love a six for in town?
