I just bought a new Baja 125 for my son. Works OK but carb needs work because throttle response is slow and choke does not seem to work right. Is there a known fix for this, or is it new Honda carb time. Also the front disk brake sticks.

So far as the brake sticking - the piston(s) in the caliper need cleaning. Bleeding the brakes with fresh new DOT 4, and a new set of brakepads wouldn't hurt anything, either. Stock compound is usually fine for replacements.

It probably sat a long time and is gummed up. You can try hosing it down with carb cleaner. If that doesn't work, take it to the local shop and have them fix it. No need to replace it.

Your BAJA is a CHinese copy of a Honda 90. Get a real Kehin 19mm carb on it, and you should be OK.

As for the front brake sticking, look at the brake lever, the rod inside has bleed holes that might be clogged up with fortune cookie dough or moogoogypan.

This is a brand new bike and yes I know it is a cheap knock-off of a Honda but I could not resist the price when Joes was going out of business.

Since it is new the carb probalby will not be gummed up unless as someone said there is fortune cookie dough in it. The suggestion to replace with a Keihn is what I expect but I did not know if there were known problems with this bike and there was an easy fix to this Keihn knock-off carb.

Also on the brake I guess I'll just take it apart. Hopefully getting this bike this cheap will not cost me in the long run.

Throttle response can be slow when the timing doesn't advance also. You might check that as well. But the malfunctioning choke does make the carb suspect.
