For those not familiar with Yamahas, here's the drill:
Beast has a trip indicator and a clock. Trip indicator indicates mileage ridden until reset. Um, ... I think you know the bit about the clock. For some strange reason, the trip indicator and clock have decided only to operate when the key is on. As soon as I turn the key off, the trip indicator resets to zero and the clock function disappears. I'm guessing (and not hoping) that this is a CPU problem, as I can see no other reason for this occurring, but let me throw the problem out here in the hope that there's some ace Yamaha engineers that will look at this post and say, "Oh..! Just blip the throttle three times with the brake on, and that'll fix 'er!" |
