Default WeedWacker.com

Guys,

My weedwacker won't start and it's making me angry. It was given to me by my aunt Helen who's husband Bill had passed away a few years back. It's got this green stuff running down the side of this little doo-dad that's sticking out of the middle of this plastic thing. I haven't checked the gas, spark plug or anything yet. Thought someone might tell me how to fix it, so I don't have to think or make any concious effort to figure it out myself.

THANKX!

The best Fix I've found for them is to build the biggest bonfire you can stand to be near - then light it, and when it's goin' really good -throw the POS into the middle of it and go out and buy one that works.

On mine you have to connect it in to one of those wall thingys with the big orange stension cord. Maybe that will help on yours. Oh yeah, if it has one of those stupid third plugs sticking out that doesn't have a hole in the wall thingy you can just yank it out with piiers. Still works fine.

Matt,

They are really susceptible to carb fouling.

Get thee a carb kit for it. Usually they are 'general application' kits, so you'll have various extra bits laying around afterward.

However, they have, maybe six pieces in the whole carb.

Most kits also give you the starting set for the mixture screws.

While you are messing with it, make sure you clean the tank and the fuel pickup, and clean and lube the wacker-doodle.

Or, you can just toss it in a fire.

Soaking in salt water can also be beneficial.

I'll bet it took you an hour to think of that spoof.

Although I did like this part:

Thought someone might tell me how to fix it, so I don't have to think or make any concious effort to figure it out myself.
