Default exhaust

I recently added a set of Vance and Hines to my 2007 Roadstar Silverado and had the carbs rejetted but after running the bike for about a week it will start smoking from the pipes after I been running the highway at about 70 mph. But if I just ride the local city roads under 50 mph I have no problem could this be a problem with improper jetting of the carbs?

White smoke means that the bike elected a pope.

Put the stock pipes back on, have the bike rejetted, sell the V&H slip ons on Craigslist to some other neophyte, enjoy riding a good running bike.

When you start adding pipes filters downloads and/or jet kits the whole combustion cycle has to be re-calibrated, any number of factors can cause the bike to run too rich or too lean, smoke, fail to idle or have flat spots, shift the powerband up the RPM scale..

The factories do an amazing job of tuning nowadays getting the most balance of power, torque and economy and still complying with ever more stringent EPA specifications, you're really better off leaving it alone or you'll be chasing rabbits down the hole trying to get it to run right.

Dude, you can't just ask what causes smoke and expect an answer. More data is needed. The color of the smoke is critical. Black? Blue? White? Hello? Earth calling.......
