Beat the Couple Ride

Before the Holy Week 2011, we planned for a Holy Week escapade to Dipolog City. Then on Maunday Thursday we pushed our planned for Dipolog City and visit the tourism spots in Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental to Zamboanga del Norte preferably at Dapitan and Dipolog City with our 135 LS Kawasaki Rouser for the remaining requirement of break-in mileage.

Here’s our trip record:

April 21 (Maundy Thursday)

6:00 a.m. - started our trip after refueling the LS 135 with the 60-65 break-in
speed.
- after reaching the town of Kibungsod, it rained, that we wore our
rain coat, nothing can stop our trip now, not even the rain.
7:30 a.m. - drop off at Gingoog City for breakfast
9:00 a.m. - brief stop (rest) to Balingoan, mis. or.
10:30 a.m. - arrived at Cag. de Oro City, took our lunch then rest for awhile.
2:30 p.m - proceed to El Salvador City for the station of the cross and picture
Taking but on our way to El Salvador we reached the break-in
kilometer required at 2,000 km so we maximized it and we have a
smooth ride with our LS 135
4:45 p.m - back on the road to Iligan City
5:50 p.m. - arrived at Iligan City for an overnight rest and dinner.

April 22 (Good Friday)

5:00 a.m. - preparing our trip to Ozamis City
5:25 a.m. - hotel check out
5:30 a.m. - took of the road to Mukas Port, Mun. of Kolambogan, Lanao del
Norte for us to take the ferry to Ozamis City (it was a 15 mins ferry ride) but before that we can’t maximized our ride coz the road in Lanao del Norte are narrow and
the houses are near in the hi-way.
8:10 a.m. - Arrived at Ozamis City, took our breakfast then picture taking at
The Cotta of Misamis even its raining
11:20 a.m. - proceed our trip
12:30 p.m. - arrived at Oroquita City and visit my cousin who is residing there
and took our lunch and find an open gas station
2:10 p.m. - back on the road to Dapitan City and while on our way to Dapitan
after in Oroquita there is a swine road that we pass with some blind
curves, we enjoy riding it.
3:30 p.m. - arrived at Dapitan City, take a tour in the Rizal’s Shrine and
picture taking
5:20 p.m. - bound to Dipolog City for overnight rest and find some
place/restaurant for a dinner. Dapitan to Dipolog takes only 13
kms.

April 23 (Black Saturday)

6:30 a.m. - go to the 3,003 Linabo Peak located at Brgy. Linabo, Dipolog City
for the station of the cross and picture taking. Taking the stairways
was so strenuous that we developed muscle pain going back along the way.

somewhere in Talisayan we encountered a heavy rain but no one can stop us riding way home. We have to wear our rain coats.
7:00 p.m. - arrived in butuan city safely.

Bottom line is that, the Rouser 135 LS is a good sport bike. It can overtake, chase underbone type bikes. The riding position is not tiring and the seat can take for long rides. It climbs 25% out of its top speed. Wheels are big enough to take the punishing depression roads. Good suspension, 5 speed manual, 4 valves (latest in 135 class), digital odometer, speedometer, strong front brakes, it stops even at 1 finger used and economical in fuel. It’s a good sport bike to own ‘coz of its affordability.

To the Editor:

Hope that this topic about our ride with Kawasaki Rouser 135LS should be published in the magazine..

Thank you.

Why on earth has Kawasaki not introduced the Rouser 135LS to the American market?

Because with name like "Rouser," it HAS to be good.

The armorall on the tires is in case you have to "lay 'er down" in an emergency...
