Simple - he lives in that neighbourhood (or closeby) and figures anybody doing ANYTHING that could possibly make home-values go down even further - "deserves" jailtime....................

That, or he's been on the bench too F'n long. We've had a few like that here (had a friend that was the VICTIM of a car-accident sentenced to "restitution" of the offending driver - in other words, my friend had to PAY the SOB that hit HIM)

I get the "contempt" bit. If the court issues an order, it can enforce it by contempt. What I don't get is where the court had the power to issue an order on that subject. Specific performance of a HOA condition? Or of a real estate covenant? Those exist, but in my experience it's been up to the HOA or other landowners to enforce the condition, not for a judge to start throwing around contempt citations.

Thankfully neighbors in his area furnished the law breaker by completly restoring his lawn with new grass. Talk about someone (HOA)
having too much power, what morons!

Although if the rain drought continues Iam sure he'll be back in jail,
this state is completly lacking in sympathy. But doesnt lack at all in corruption.

It's my understanding the only legal recourse an HOA has in Wa. is to contract the work out for the offending member then attach a lean on the property untill the homeowner pay the contractors bill.

Moral(s) of the story - never be the first person to use a petrol pump. Keep an eye on the end of the filler nozzle as you never know if there's actually anything coming out of it.

Funny, that's never happened before........

Why don't anybody LIKE us!?

Is it Sachi's heady perfume? Longride's delicate aftershave? (some people just don't like "Old Spice")
