Well said, Reverend! There have been many comments here along similar lines; that Honda has lost it's direction in the US motorcycle market. Honda's focus on the car market is often blamed, and a visit to one of their cycle dealerships would certainly support that theory. They look like a car dealer, they sell like a car dealer, and they connect with the customers like a car dealer (not at all).
You're right about the overseas market too. The Honda Transalp is an outstanding bike from what I've read, and would appeal to a lot of buyers here in the US. Suzuki can't make enough VStroms; the Strom boards are filled with people looking for bikes to buy, and the TansAlp is a great alternative to the Strom.
