I know the new XB frame is pretty trick and all but I'd like to see the old air-cooled bikes go back to a trellis frame. If they did that and priced the bikes at the same target as a SV650 they would have a nice little nitch between the 1125 bikes and the MVs that will be in showrooms by March.

I've actually been looking at an 2002 Cyclone that has a really nice price on Craigslist. Those older ones were the best in my eyes. No FI and trellis frame. Nice.

So, does this mean that we will be able to take you off the list of people who say they want one but would never buy one?

My buddy rides the wheels off his XB9R, I think it's a pretty cool bike myself. I've gotten test rides on a Ully a couple of times the last time being when I got the bagger. I think they're really fun bikes and I would not say I'd never buy one.
Of course I'm a Sporty fan from way back and to me these are what Sportsters should be. The 883 and 1200 customs should be called Roadsters. Buells, along with the 1200 Roadster should be called Sportsters......... Maybe I'll give ol' Willy a call...

I think it would be a great price point against the new Duc to see a new trellis frame bike sub-$7k. MV is always going to have the $14k-$70k sportbike market tied to the likes of Ducati. The XB frames are cool, but lack the character that made Cyclone so cool. The XB frame could still be used, of course, but a trellis framed, low-cost bike would compete against the SV and the 696. Heck, Buell could probably get away with putting the XB9 motor into the trellis and leave the 1200 for the XB frame. Kina like stepping-stones through the models.

Because they hire sh!tty employees. Let's face it, motorcycle sales reps aren't exactly high-end staffing positions. If you have a pulse and if you have ever ridden a motorcycle you are qualified...sometimes just a pulse will do.

I never wanted the newer one. I liked the older air-cooled Buells. I would buy a new Busa or ZX-14 instead of a new Buell. Nothing about that bike gets my blood going.

pertaining to our competition. In my shop, sadly I would have to agree on the overall level of staff, but just remember one thing, its because the Dealer doesnt pay anything. And you get what you pay for.

I had a real Jones for a ZX14 Connie till I got close and personal with one. It's no doubt a fantastic machine but most of my riding is just dorking around back roads and riding to work and the store etc... If I was into ICBM cruising it'd be perfect, for my riding the FLHT is sooo much more suited. I think the air cooled XB's are also right up my alley
