Default Psycho Bikers from Hell

If you think the cage / motorbike animosity is bad, the bicycle crowd is striving to out-do us. For years a Sunday am ride up A1A was one of my favorite things to do; beachside putt at 35mph or so, light traffic. Now the bicyclists have decided they can't use the bike lane; instead they form a pack that takes up the whole lane. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd run the speed limit (35-40) but they don't. It's bad enough that I've given up on that ride route alltogether.

They're the same here, some of them are complete a$$holes even when they have bicycle lanes. Arrogant pricks, most of them seem too stupid to realize how annoying yet vulnerable they are, not a good postion to put ones self in IMO...

So, they are acting like typical environmentalists. What's new? Just be glad they haven't thrown paint on you because of some latest weird mental computation. You know, like keying SUVs or lighting them on fire.

They're doing that around here, but only because they can't afford the gas for their SUVs. Insurance fraud is so high the State Attorney General is running radio ads telling us not to destroy our cars for the insurance money.

In Frisco though they have real trouble from loonies. They caught some guy a few months back who had slashed tires and poured paint remover on dozens of SUVs. Thought he was saving the environment.

I'm sure it was a water-based, eco-friendly paint.

Anything that can "remove paint" - regardless of whether the paint was water-based or not - is hardly "good for the environment.

And the bicyclists are all F'n dyckheads here in the Ozarks, too.

And in North Carolina.

And Georgia.

And Tennessee...................

Sorry, but I take the side of the cyclists on this one. If you think you get shyt on riding a motorcycle, try riding solo on a bike for a few weeks. You will want to go buy a gun a shoot some of these pr!cks in cars. You don't need to be blocking the road to have some jerk spit at you, flick lit cigs, honk one inch from your head, run by you an inch from your shoulder, and various other wonderful tricks they can pull while you are doing nothing wrong except insulting their sensibility by being on a bike. You will meet lotsa brave MF'ers in their cars spouting all kinds of crap at you. When the cyclists get in packs, they use their numbers to counter the abuse they take daily by blocking enough of the street to get their fair share of the road, and to ensure some dyckhe@d driver doesn't pull their usual antics. Even the most jaded idiot won't mess with 30 or 40 cyclists, but they will whine like babies when the tables are now turned and the abuser becomes the abused. I quit riding on the street with my bike 10 years ago. It is easily 100 times more dangerous than riding a motorcycle, mostly becuase you are an easy target for road raged morons and you can't just blast away from them like when you are on a motorcycle. Ride a mile in their shoes and come back and you will have a different story to tell.

+1 Longride. I gave up bike riding on the street for those very reasons.

Now only the hikers in the forest hate me.

......thus perpetuating the problems that motorists have with cyclists, creating an endless vicious cycle because the "motorized victims" are not usually the same .0001% of motorists that are dyckheads........

and I HAVE ridden on the roads before - used to be my sole means of transportation until I was ~17 - and I encountered my share of bullshyte when doing-so - but I didn't use some of the tactics that I see in bicyclists today, and didn't feel that the "Rules of the Road" didn't apply to me, either.

Now, I don't cycle on the road because I have no particular urge to join this pack of dycks.

And I've also noticed - many who are ass holes on a bicycle are double-ass holes in an automobile.
