If the oil pump isnt sucking in the oil becase the bike is held up in a wheelie too long yes you can have a lack of lube to the top end.

Popped open a couple GSXR1000's in 2001 that had this problem. The customer denied doing any wheelie's at all, so when we diagnosed it and found him to be lieing we just handed the bike back in a box.

my 2 cents:

The most fun bike is the one you're riding at that moment.
The most fun bike is the one that you really lust after, and that, after riding, you just want to pull up a lawnchair, grab a beer, and stare at it.
Triumph 675 triples are huge fun. But a Yamaha DT50 is rather fun too.
Isn't it fun just thinking about which bike to buy next?

This weekend, in 14" of snow, the most fun bike was my hopped up Z50!
