I'm sure yours is plenty good. I'll review the new one next week. I did get that Boss Hoss ride though!

Wait a second. I thought they were going to add Obamalama's face to Mt Rushmore. What gives? Why is Bigfoot's mug there?

They will add Obama's head, but as with most issues that the founding fathers are about, he will be facing in the opposite direction.

Catch a Cannonball, now, t'take me down the line
My bag is sinkin' low and I do believe it's time.
To get back to Miss Annie, you know she's the only one.
Who sent me here with her regards for everyone.

Take a load off Fannie, take a load for free;
Take a load off Fannie, And (and) (and) you can put the load right on me.

Do you really need me to tell you who wrote this?

There is this crappy little radio station, WDVR, in a small town in Jersey just off the Delaware that has a Bob Dylan Thursday evening. Nothing but Dylan and The Band

God in Heaven! My only friend -
Will I live to see my journey's end?

No more Paradise, no more soothing rain.
All the Sacrifice; the pain is all the same.
Still I'm pushing onward - alone I can't deny
My presence fills the desert, my spirit never dies....

Patiently waiting: they wait for me to Die.
Tortured and beaten, blistered by the Sun -
Forceful and heartless, have The Badlands won?

Badlands from Metal Church: Blessing in Disguise (1989)

Good writeup Longride, enjoyed it very much. The Wife and I may have to do Sturgis one of these years.

Or not.

I always had a soft spot for them - a song about the sinking of the Titanic, a Poe-themed song (the Telltale Heart), their album themes often seemed to degenerate into songs about Insanity and/or Disaster - manmade and natural.........

Good story Longride. Made me laugh and thoughtful too. Its always interesting to see the spectacle and meet new freinds. But I appreciated your rides about the area and other local places you visited. You get a bigger picture than just the party. Well done...
