Very nice. Some time ago I received a survey from H-D on what I would like to see in a new touring bike. My first point was a better chassis. As horsepower has climbed from a pedestrian 45 to a mind-boggling 62, the motor was over powering the chassis.
Couple that with the fact that I ride the glide much faster than your average duffer this makes for a nice update. I might have to fleece someone into my '03 so I can score a new one. |

They're blowing out '08's now, do you REALLY need an '09?

I want a new tourer too. I think I will wait for the 09 for sure.

Buzz and LR,
I believe the new chassis is worth waiting to buy an '09. Much less wobble and flex, especially considering the increased load capacity of the bags that folks will undoubtedly pack at least 3 times past the 15 lbs total increase. Can't go wrong with those Brembos either, with or without ABS. Add to that the throttle by wire, newly rerouted exhaust for cooling, etc. And if my assessment isn't credible enough, I know that Mr. Mark Hoyer from CW said the new bike/chassis felt much more "one-piece." The implication being increased stiffness, etc... Enjoy!

Well the newer frame sounds better but I have ABS and triple Brembos with fly-by-wire already and up here a bike that runs warm is a plus. I'd rather save a few grand on an '08
