I just never wash my FZ-6 - it's covered in a layer of crud so thick, nobody really knows what I ride - half the people that know me think I ride a Ducati; the other half think it's a Harley..............

I've got an 04 Kingpin that I've had for two years and it's never given me any problems. Fun bike to ride. Polaris is a huge corporation and I can't see them calling it quits unless something really drastic happens. The local Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki shop added Victory a while back and I'm beginning to see them all over the place. I've even seen a Vision tooling around.

Oh relax dude. I said they were nice enough bikes, but face some facts. Victory wouldn't exist if Harley didn't make V-Twin cruisers cool, and when they couldn't meet demand then here comes the rest of the clones, which include Victory. And a clone it is, so get over it already. Having a slightly different engine configuration doesn't change that. Hiring Arlen Ness, a long time Harley customizer just sealed the deal. So again, Victory makes nice enough bikes, but they are late to the party, and if you own a Vision then you need your eyes checked. It's a sk@nk. Sorry, but thems the facts ridiculous or not.

Now if only Polaris would make the quality of their ATVs and snowmobiles equal their Victory line. Their sleds are better than they used to be but their ATVs are the worst on the market. That's where the profits are. Victory is a miniscule share of their operations. My Polaris sled is okay, but not as good as a Yammerhammer. Polaris 4-wheelers suck. Constant breakage and problems.

Well beauty's in the eyes of the beer-holder, I think Visions are pretty cool looking, I know they're built like a brick poop-house. The local Honda/Suzuki dealer here carries them too, I see a fair amount of them. Certainly not up to HD levels but they're selling and they are all built in-house to their own specs. It's true that HD set the custom bar here and they're V-twins so it follows that a custom "has" to be a V-twin but I don't see Victory as a clone, I leave that moniker to the dozen or so S&S cased catalog bikes with different names on the tank that cropped up and croacked in the last few years.

We had Polaris snowmobiles when I was a kid. Back then they seemed to be bullet proof though I have no idea about their quality now. I haven't been on one in 25 years. Talk about brand loyalty, snowmobiles were as bad as motorcycles.

As far as there being no Victory without HD I would have to agree there. Polaris saw how much money was being made and wanted a piece of the pie. If HD had been able to keep up with the demand we wouldn't have seen EH, Victory or any of the clones, at least not as many.
