Think I'd rather buy a "classic" Vespa and a used Burgman 400 for that type of money. Cool scoot, though>

Having owned a few Vespas & Lambrettas over the decades, they are fun, but will spit you off at a moments notice because of those dinky wheels. Where did it gain so much weight? My last Lambretta, a 1956 150cc Innocenti tipped the scales at around 200 lbs, and hauled ass (for a scooter). Nothing like dinky wheels, a high center of gravity and weight over 300 lbs. to get your attention when you hit some anti-freeze or ATF in a corner. No thanks.

Setting the price aside for a moment, you have to admit that it is a beautiful scooter. But yeah, if you want that scooter you are going to have to pay the Vespa tax.
