Thanks guys, I really appreciate the suggestions. I like the Ducati for sure. Also, the Moto Guzzi California Vintage model looks appealing. They're both twins, just like the Triumph Bonneville, though Bonneville is inline. Don't know which would be more vibration resistant the way the counterbalance the V-twins nowadays.

Hey, there are a few KZ1000's from 1978-80 on ebay, and the pre-electronic ignition ones I could actually work on. That's another thought. I put new Jardine forward controls on the V-Star, so it's more workable. I hate floor boards. Still, it's not the bike for me long term...
