Default Rode a Boss Hoss !!

A long time friend of mine at work here is a Boss Hoss fanatic, he owns 3 of them along with a Softtail and a Sporty. I was heading down to the other plant in the van today and saw him on the way in so I looked him up when I got back. We got to chit chatting and checking out his bike and he asks me if I want to ride it. Well, normally I don't ride other peoples bikes and they don't ride mine but we've been friends for 15 years so I took it for a short spin......

Ladies and Gentleman, I'm sold !!! that was honestly the most fun I've ever had with my drawers on, I swear. 1100 lbs and 355 HP is a recipe for fun believe me. Starting the bike just send the hairs on your neck up, a 350 Chev through upsweept fishtails straight pipes sounds so cool you wouldn't believe it. The transmission is a single shift variable speed with a rocker switch to engage, squeeze the front brake, click the switch and you feel a slight tug, release the brake with no throttle and the bike creeps along at walking speed where you feel every one of the 1100 lbs. Once you're rolling the weight disappears much like a Rocket 3, barely rolling on the throttle gets you trundling along, the straight pipes burbling and the bike balancing up perfectly.

I only got it up to about 35 or so but you just know it's there! the bikes isn't even working just an immense feeling of thrust, he told me to take it out on the highway but I didn't have my lid with me so I just rode around the plant. I guess opening up the four barrels on the quadrajet is a near religious experiance! , I know I was grinning like a fool the whole time I was on it, absolutly incredible ride!

The fit and finish, quality of the welds and fabrication are all top notch, the radiator and underseat reserve tank are polished aluminum and virtually works of art, all hoses are braided stainless aircraft fittings and it's a belt drive which surprised me, I expected a shaft or double row primary type chain. The overall quality of the machine and the visual impact are just stunning. An incredible bike with a grin factor through the roof. He's offered to let me take it out on the road and put some miles on it, I might just have to take him up on that...

I always wanted to try one of those out. They look like fun. I doubt I would ever buy one, but taking one down the street would be a blast.

beg borrow or steal one bro, I don't know how they compare with the 'Busa in a staight line but this thing is some serious fun! Riding along you get this feeling of power you wouldn't believe. Very controlable but you just know you've got a tiger by the tail LOL. I doubt I'd ever buy one but boy what a kick in the butt.

I think the size and weight would add to the fun. Kind of like driving a hyper freight train down the street. The Busa may be faster, but wouldn't have that feeling of driving some monster beast.

I think if sarnali hits 400lbs we ought to start up a fund to get him one.

That Dyna is getting mighty small!
