blah blah blah... there are people who track their bikes who actually would like to have the top end. What I see here is a bunch of guys repeating the same squid stereotype banter over, and over.

Anyhow, I thought I would post this up so that more people could see.

That's what a Manly Man would do, anyhoo.

I see this entirely, 142.763% as a "Non-Issue".
3,000 rpm of overrev is awesome! Totally a non issue

YOU and Eleven-other people in the USA actually use these bikes for what they were built to do. We're makin' fun of the remaining 672,563 Literbike-owners that can't even spell "Trackday". Nor would they know what to do with that extra 3000rpm and the missing HP were it to be given-back to them.

I'm sorry, but it's painfully obvious Honda doesn't really give a shyte you have this problem. Perhaps next time, a ZX10-R would be in order?

If you keep raising a stink, you'll never get a decent price for the bike when you decide to ditch it; - it'll be all-over the 'Net that these are "inferior" bikes and no self-disrespecting Squidboy would be caught DEAD astraddle one................

So how many MPH have you lost on the 'top end' on yours? I bet none.

He hasn't lost any because as of at least a few hours ago he was still alive.

Maybe he is going out to test as we speak. The whole subject is a bad joke.

Cucle World has a really interesting shoot-out on liter and up bikes. They were doing 100-180mph comparisons among other things. Some of the results surprised me, in particular that Ducati didn't do that well at all against the I4 Japanese bikes. CW seems to have dropped Ducati and is now sportin' a chubby for MV Augusta.

Now you've ruined my entire week. A Duck won't make it to 180 as fast as the I-4s? Horrors! What am I gonna do now?

It's a slipper slope folks. Why would you need a bike over 100 horsepower?! You'll just go out and kill yourself on that!!! Why do you need to be on two wheels anyway? I think we should require a metal cage on anything road-going and require at least 4 wheels.

There are countries out there already with just this kind of requirement.

Its much easier to take things away (speed, power, top end) than to get them back.

It sounds like most of your guys are cruiser guys and could give a rip about horsepower, but some of us have other concerns.
