Dual Star heated grip kit
Quote:
The article was great. Gives readers an option for heated grips. They do make a huge different in cold weather. And as an added safety feature, because if your hands are cold, in reduces the rider's ability to respond to ever changing road and riding conditions. I especially enjoyed the wicked awesome wiring diagram!! Ride on, Grasshoppers!!! |
I have the dual star grip heaters and like them lots. Concur about insulating the bar on the clutch side, otherwise the bar acts as a heat sink. I used heat shrink tube.
These are cheap and effective too: Tusk Hand Mitts Black | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC |
Grip heaters have come standard on BMW's for a number years. I think they're almost essential if you're going to ride all year, at least around this neck 'O the woods. The cold and damp ruins your hands pretty quickly without them.

Must have
I have them on my roadster. They are a blessing even here in Southern California.
