Exactly *how* many miles do you have on it now? It's been what - some two weeks or more?

My FZ6, I considered "broken in" after I brought it back from my first ride. In February. In the Midwest. Without Cold Gear.

If you're up to your second excursion - RIDE that damn thing! Baby'n it won't help it.

Metallurgy and machining-technology has come a crap-long way in 45 years since that "break-in procedure" in your owner's manual was written. You won't violate your warranty, you won't hurt the bike, you won't do anything to it - it was within 99.99% of being "broken-in" the first time you thumbed the starter. The engine and trans materials aren't going to get any stronger..........

656 miles. I have a power commander on the way. Should be here on monday. I'm going with the files out and the roaring toyz 4-2-1 exhaust. I'm also going to throw a bottle in and get a custom map on dyno.

I like the exhaust. It's different from all the other shiny pieces of crap people put on their bikes. Probably wouldn't like how loud it is, but it looks neat.

I just rode one of these babies a couple of weeks ago with the Fonz. What an incredible bike! Really smooth with mind-boggling acceleration.

The taped on flames are pretty cheesy but that was my only gripe.

Yeah, that exhaust even looks like it's "Shoot out the window at the noise at 3-am" loud...............

Bet it sounds awesome. But loud.

To quote Marcus Bailey, my HD mechanic pal who left the planet due to cocaine, alcohol, and drive-through window abuse: "Be loud, and be proud. F' the neighbors."

Thanks guys. I've gotten use to the loudness and I'm only using the big baffle and kept the small one out. It’s really not that bad. People behind me do not agree. lol

What's up? Did you get a recall notice?
