I'm not sure of the direction of the inference there, but if it's that I am compensating, untrue, the Beemer GS would have been that. I had the cash to buy a GS but after research and riding, the DL1000 was the winner. Excellent bike, killer value! And it runs good! After all the compromises I've made in my riding career(is it really a career?), this bike is the swiss army knife of motorcycles, the "smart" choice(of which I'm not known for), and it even has good resale.

Which brings us to why I came to these cruiser threads in the first place. I usually have two or three bikes that cover my needs. Touring, sport and toy. I had a Guzzi EV11 and a Guzzi Lemans. Sold the EV11, could not get comfortable on it, even after spending serious money. So I bought the Strom, wow, search over, and it covers touring and sport. Sold the Lemans, friggin clip-ons were killing me. So, with the Strom covering touring and "light" sport activities, I need a cruiser now. Nice comfy barge, but what to buy, I didn't want to go back to the old school of cruisers. Viola, Yami comes up with a nice product, I go and test ride a couple of them, they are good. Need to buy one. Need more money, don't like payments, saving as we speak.

Geez, wasn't that touching..

Alas...

Kenneth, It should have read "not having to compensate"
Meaning, you must be hung to ride such and ugly bike. One of my favorites, btw.
Alas I'm back, I was joking with longride when he took a jab at me.

Wallace, didn't know you had a DL.

It's cool Fenton! I'm never the least bit offended or upset about anything here. This is the fun part of my day as I drag through the endless hours at work.

However..with my looks...

Yea, I bought a new one in 05. Did a 2500 mile five state trip on it this summer. Seriously good machine, but it is butt ugly. I call it the aardvark of motorcycles. If you own one, and look at it enough(preferably drunk), it actually starts to look good, in a lsd origami sort of way.

If you are going to start with the female stuff, Sachi will rip your eyeballs out and stomp them into dust!

Heheh, well I bet were both kind of normal, and I also know that neither one of us miss a chance to swing some chain around a crowded room!! Some people are built like that....

Been there done that. No comments on sexual orientation here, thank you very much.
