At least I responded to the topic with unarguable points apparently.
Of course your points are unarguable. You are the smartest guy in the whole world. I found out the EX500 and Aprilia RS250 are the greatest bikes ever made. I found out Harleys are not only slow and overpriced, but they depreciate faster than anything too. I know that I need to go to the gym to somehow fit on ever shrinking liter bikes. You are correct on all points. After 40 years of riding, owning, rebuilding, buying and selling just about size, type, and make of bikes, I am lost in your wisdom. You certainly have all the answers, and I have none. Any reasons I would own or ride a bike are certainly silly and worthless, while yours are rock solid and unarguable. What you really taught me is how little I really know about motorcycles and how much you know. Yes, you are the best and the smartest.

Absolutely, without question, if I were buying a bike of this type I would happily pay $8k more for a bike that I found attractive versus one that I thought looked horrible. And that is the point of these bikes: the looks, the "cache'" the style, the sound. Otherwise you go buy a nerd bike like a DL.

Go ahead, give me a hard time. I'm a big guy, I can take it.

No no that's fine and fare and if you really like the looks of the harley that much more and find the yamaha that ugly I totally understand. Like you said I would guess the only purpose of this type of bike is the look anyway.

Perhaps yamaha will just have to try do to better in the looks department. Think they could ever do it?

PS - like my new signature?

1st that was not a personal attack, it was not directed at any one person.

2nd That was not posted in response to any question, it was in another thread and my first post not in reply to any question.

Sure, the Sakura, for example. It looks just like a cool retro-custom Sportster!

"You realize winning a shoot out and having the best ride often go hand in hand?"

Really? Wow, I never knew that someone that I don't know, who has an opinion about a bike based on his own criteria, would make me want to go out and buy that bike. I always valued my own opinion above any others, and I ALWAYS ride a motorcycle before I buy it. To do anything less is pretty stupid.

Why can we stop all this bruhaha and focus on the truly important issues of our time?
