“ANY standard or sportbike will eat your cruiser for lunch” well you could say this to Raider rider. For comical effect try sitting on a Rocker when you say it.

Well, you can disagree all you want, but you'd be wrong every day and twice on Sunday. ANY standard or sportbike will eat your cruiser for lunch on any road you want to name with equal rider skill.

Yeah well you suck, your dads ugly your mom wears army boots and your sister goes down on Egyptians.......

And your wrong, harley is copying jap bikes, not the other way around

" longride has a picture of a Knuck, but told me on the Raider thread he rode a Shovel and just liked the Knuck pic. Today he says he rides a Knuck. "

I am starting to get it. This is why he wants me to prove I have a bike by posting a picture. I suspect in real life he's taken Kpaul's advice and practices on a small Ninja.

>The Honda CB750 is considered by many to the be the bike
>that really began to take customers away from HD

Hmmm this is very US centered (understandably so) statement. In the rest of the world HD was not a player until much later.

Other thing you omitted was that it was Elton John who played in Harleys 100st birthday party.

Elton John was an odd choice but you have to admit he's an excellent performer with a pretty solid list of good music to his credit

Quite possibly the most embarrassing choice ever.

Of course it is US centered. The post was in regard to how the US motorcycle market evolved.

Maybe you could take a moment and write about HD's astonishing inroads into the European market? It would be interesting to hear about their huge gains in foreign sales, how the HD subculture has developed there as well as here, and perhaps even some insights on the European HD-based custom builders.

If you have any photos of HDs cruising-euro, that would be a nice touch too. Maybe a Fat Boy parked under the Arc de Triomphe?

Who is this "Elton John" of which you speak? Was he a European bike builder?
