Delray may ban motorcyclists from upscale Atlantic Avenue -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

Delray is a little "yuppie" town just north of Ft. Lauderdale with pretentions of being the new Boca Raton. They've been buying out the poor people and building yuppie condos for years. Now they've decided to ban motorcycles from their little downtown area.

Said Mayor Rita Ellis: "It's getting so you can't even swing a dead cat without hitting seven or eight 'Undesirables' at the local lunch-counter. Something must be done"...........

Kenneth, are you saying you are surprised by the actions of elected officials and government employees in South Florida?

In an inexplicable stroke of rational thinking, Delray Beach's gummit decided not to ban motorcycles alltogether, but rather increase enforcement and fines for dipsticks with loud exhaust. Apparently having hundreds of motorcyclists arrive at the meeting had some influence!
