Looks damned nice. Looks like I'm about ready to lose my license! I can tell you from experience that these bikes just beg to be ridden hard and fast. I have a few love notes from the law from my Busa. Love the new one though. It's calling my name.

My need for size, power and speed has been met by my Blackbird. This makes me immune to the 'Busa's charms :) But that 2008 Gixxer 750 is sure trying to worm its way into my garage. If only I could afford it right now. No worries, I'm happy with what I've got. And I have something to look forward to later.
And the Blackbird is such a fine bike that no bike will replace it; there'll have to be additional room in the garage for any other bikes that I'll own. I guess at some point I'll have to get a bigger garage ... |
It's really a fine motorcycle, but is there a point of overkill with the GT sportbike horsepower war? If I'm right the 186mph gentleman's agreement is still in effect- so why build it to go faster (up to a point)? Rather buy the new 848 for $11,500.

"Close to the speed of sound"... Exaggeration for effect, its only mach .22 or so...

Wound a little tight today?

I have always liked the Hayabusa styling and this one looks sweet. Better than their other 2008 GSXR sportbikes. Little too much power for me now..After I own a 750 and latter a 1000 for awhile I might try it.. Nice article Kevin.

Had a 'Busa and a ZX14. Niether one weighs "close to 500 pounds, full of gas." I wish, though...Looking forward to the new duel.
