Thumbs up Mosquitos beware!

Well, I finally stepped up and did it. After blathering about Yamaha RD400s forever, I finally won an eBay auction for one. She's a '79 Daytona Special. It's got cafe bars and wire wheels and a fresh engine. It's also been converted to electronic ignition.

The aftermarket expansion chamber with tiny silencers is sure to piss of the neigbors and Al Gore. I'll pick her up tomorrow.

Groovy!

So, what's in the garage right now? I've lost track of what you have and what you've sold.

Hell I can't hold a candle to George or Sarnali.

Current garage:

2003 Ultra Classic
2000 Duc ST4
1979 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special (after I pick it up)

Funny thing is, the Yamaha seller is curious about ST4s. So, if he buys mine, that will free up more space for something else!

Waaay cool, Buz. I have one resting in the back of the garage that I'll get around to ressurecting someday.

USA 2 STROKERS is an online community dedicated RD/RZ's.

.... a real nice Magna just for you! After all. It's a superior V-4. Wave of the future and all that.

I was snooping around that forum. FL Steve is an old MO poster that pops up on that site quite a bit.

Check out Moto Carrera - 2-Stroke Sport Bike Specialists

The yellow street tracker is sweet! The one I bought already has the wire wheels and the crazy right side expansion chambers. Perhaps I need to take off the Daytona tins and put on those cool street tracker pieces.

Oh hell, one trip around the neighborhood and someone's going to shoot me anyway!

Default Not to dis the 2 stroke place in Burbank...

Moto Carrera, but when I took my old DT2 there, to get the dam thing timed, they had no idea what I was talking about..."Oh we don't do that..."

Nice eye candy in the widow of the joint, however. Trick RD400's with extruded aluminum gold sunburst heads, chambers, etc.

Did I forget to mention that you are going to be my official RD400 mechanic?
