Better yet go buy the new Street Triple and get all the Daytona 675 fun for nekkid pricing. That good enough for you? Hey- am I all over the map for you guys?

... has been riding Harleys. Even a 750 Katana is going to be a lightning quick handling bike in comparison.

A Katana would probably be a good choice, mainly because they're dirt cheap and still perform light years ahead of a Harley

I don't know why they get such a bad rap myself, the fairings a little iffy but overall it's a pretty versitle streetbike. A Bar Snake or bird shot in the bars will take care of most of the vibration, that's the only real complaint I've heard about them

...you know as well as I do they they only get about 70 hp. How can you have any fun with that?

Well, actually, like most bikes, the people who complain the loudest never rode one.

For 70hp I rather go SV650- (or it's ugly sister the DL). I think that 100lbs of weight would be a deciding factor for a guy that wants to do a little sport-riding vs the Kan-a-tuna. Another good buy would be the Kawi ZZR600- no sportbike insurance rates but all the ZX-E fun you can muster.
