i loved my 2002 ZRX, i sold it and bought a cruiser cuzz i thought i was over sport bikes. i wanted another one. never found one at a good price. they are popular with the older croud. one day i saw a 04 kawa Z 1000 and i fell in love again. seems the ZED is not as popular. honest i like the 03-06 gen z 1000 better than the ZRX. the ZRX feels heavy,it does not flick around like the 470 LB z 1000. that sporty looking seat on the ZED is more comfy than the stock or corbin seat i had on the ZRX. i do not like the looks of the 07-09 and it makes less power than the 03-06 ZED. would i like to own another ZRX a big YES.

MO was so proud that they saved 15lbs and gained 2 hp for a mere $925. LOL! Step right up and buy that aftermarket system!

got a close out stainless full system muzzy for my 04 zed for 425 bucks shipped. from muzzy direct. what a deal. 2 hp and 25 lbs saved.

Wow! 2 whole horsepower! That's only $212.50 per Horse! You DO realize that 2hp is within the Margin of Error on a 90hp moto, right?

i new full well putting a exhaust system is more for style and sound.
some pipes HURT HP.

Don't you have an aftermarket exhaust on yours. Yoshimura I believe.

He's got slip-on cans, not a full exhaust.

Considerably cheaper.

The "AirHawk" has a Muzzy slip-on system (can and Y-pipe) that was on the bike when I bought it, and the airbox has been modified and the carbs re-jetted.

When I got the bike back in the '90s, it was loud as F*ck. No, I mean F*cking LOUD AS F*CK!!!!

A bit of work with ceramic-wool and some stainless bits and pieces quieted it down about 20db - depending on how hard I nail it, I catch 89-92db @ 25' with the meter perpendicular to the bike.

Damn-near 88db-driveby "legal".
