A fairly interesting article. The little blurb about battles on the beaches of Britian was cool, who knew?
It would be fun to find out how the Yamaha marketing strategy worked out six years later. Did motorcycle buyers gravitate to the super-scooter? Did cagers give up their cupholders and DVD players and get in the wind? Hmmm???

It looks like Yamy is finally bringing this thing to the States. It'll be interesting to see how this stacks up against the Honda Silverwing and Aprilia Scarebo. How 'bout a shootout, MO? (C'mon... you know you want to!) $8K for a scooter, though?

Yes! Finally Yamaha is gonna bring the T-Max stateside. I'd love to try one.
I'm sure the '09 is much refined compared to this first year model. |
