Hi Patrick Barnett,

That was a great review of Royal Enfield bike. I am a great fan of this timeless beauty.

But I most of the things are improved in the new models. My friend owns a 2k7 model with company front disk brake and new gas filed rear shock absorbers one can ride it to the top speed on a high way with out feeling any vibration.

As per gear the story is still the same in both Left shift and right shift. Probably they have to design entirely new kind of gear box to make it a smooth as it can get on a U.S made choppers.

But over all it’s a great Bike and I use one to go to work every day a distance of 25 miles. It never let me down and the affection and addiction to race it on dangerous Indian high ways will never grow cold (Specially a devil like me. I am a rash driver and love to do 45 mph and above on Delhi streets)

I really want one. But I am still far too stupid to keep it working properly. Getting a little (very little) better at wrenching, but not near enough for one of these.

Is there anyway I can get all of Cuddy's motorcycle brainpower transfered onto a couple of DVDs?

No dvd yet, just Betamax

Colonel BAR, all you have to do is ride and maintain a 1973 Jawa 90 for about 5 years and everything will fall into place. Every oddity, malfunction, rotten design and blissfull performance feature are encompassed in that one little Commie motorcycle. It is like the obelisk from 2001 shaped like a Jawa.

Apperantly there is a dealer closer than I thought.
