Default Interesting

Is it really the Dakar now it's run in South America? Kicked to the curb after five wins. Glad to see Despres will race on another team. He will know when to quit.

Bichin'.

I think time may prove KTM's dismissal of Despres a Mistake.

He has the right attitude, though. And it raises his stock in his fan's eyes that there was no muss, no fuss over the whole thing (whether there was or not!).

It's a shame we interviewed Despres prior to his team swap, as we don't know for sure what went on behind the scenes. It's possible he asked for too much money and was rebuffed by KTM. but it's also possible he was offered a better deal with Honda, assuming he signs with Honda, along with lucrative Red Bull money.

Fact is, Honda could outbid the rest of the motorcycle world cumulatively.
