Looks nice, new full boat tourers are getting very spendy, I'm sure this will fill a niche` as a lower cost alternative without giving up too much in the process.

I remember when a 1340cc 80 cubic inch Harley was a "Big Twin."
Now it's a midsize and unique in the market. Step away from the chicken wings people! |

It's hell of a lot of motorcycle for the money. Very smart of them to build in the GPS and tunes...those features alone are going to close a lot of deals.

Yep, this warmed-over VStar hits a sweet spot in the bagger market. Not so much a triumph of engineering, but a triumph of marketing and positioning.

This bike looks the business, is not downsized, makes enough power and kicks out crisp tunes. Since it is not a Harley, it will depreciate right into in my cheapskate clutches right about the time my body depreciates to the point I will want a bagger.
Post FZ1, my next stop on my personal journey to over the hill city is a standard type CB1100F, then perhaps one of these in clean used condition for comparatively cheap. It is good to have plans. |

I was thinking the same thing. 1300 used to be big, hulking, yada yada yada...now it's light and nimble.

I have a KTM 200 2 stroke in mind for those. The weightless torquey wee 200's are perhaps the most overlooked dirt bike out there. Will need something low effort and yet high performance for the twilight dirt bike years! |
