I'm riding to the Seattle show on Saturday with the usual suspects. Then off to the Pyramid Alehouse for some Fish N Chips and a few pints of Snowcap, then ride home, get changed and going to a Christmas party with my new sqeeze...
Sometimes it's really fun being me..

Moderation in all things is the key, I wasn't attempting to imply excess.

I am glad to see that having a beer or two is part of your plan. Appreciation for a finely brewed Snowcap is as important as an appreciation of a fine motorcycle or The Ducati Chicks. Duty now for the future.

Ya think they can make the beaks on these Adventure bikes any bigger. That GS looks good with the exception of that ridiculous overbite. WTF is with that whole design trend? If this continues, soon you'll need a dolly wheel out on the end of it.

One of those butt-ugly but it works things. I rode my GS in some pretty good Pacific Northwet downpours and the beak works well at keeping the crud off the rider. My only beef with the whole ADV bike thing is that you need a step ladder to get on them.
Super long suspension travel on a 250 lb motocrosser is one thing, long travel on a top heavy 500 lb Adv bike is another thing entirely. I'm 6 foot and had a few "Oh Sh*t" moments when the ground was a little further away than I thought, spoils a perfectly good bike and ultimately useless since few of them wind up off road anyway. They'd be better off with 4 or 5 inches of travel and a lower seat height and CG

I made the nearly 1000 mile trip to the Dallas version of IMS in early November, and it was no where near as comprehensive as LA. No Ducati, no Zero, no Moto Guzzi, no Aprilla, and barely a Victory display (local dealer). It did have a Enfield booth, with a lot of bikes having sidecars. Again, it was run by a local dealer who adds the sidecars.
It was also the weekend before the Honda 5 bike announcement, so those weren't there either. LA is nearly the same distance. I think I'll go west next time. I did have a good conversation with Arai and they helped me fit and pick out a new helmet. |

I'll be going to the New York show. Everything worth seeing should be there. Maybe I'll snap a few pictures for y'all.

I finally got to watch the video. Nice job, thanks for putting it up. We don't get a show like this in FL (due to Bike Week I guess) so the video is the next best thing.
