If ever there were an engine that would be a good choice to "copy," the Suzuki 90-degree L-twin is the one. That engine is a brick; you really have work hard to damage one, or even wear one out.
Harley whined about it looking like a V-Rod, huh? That's funny. |
Sorry Hyosung. Despite your best efforts, Americans don't want this (or Triumph cruisers). They prefer gutless road holding weight!

Brand loyalty
With brand loyalty as it is I don't see these guys doing well here. I understand the price and style aspect and do applaud the effort. Whatever that means.

Nice looking bike
Nice looking bike. Can't go wrong with a mini Vrod. Still waiting for Kawasaki to make a sporty cruiser with the Ninja 650 motor. That would be sweet.

Hyosung
I remember when Japanese and Italian bikes were considered garbage, then all of a sudden they became legit. Chinese and Taiwanese bikes were crap and then Triumph and BMW started manufacturing bikes there. So those countries became acceptable producers.
I guess the next big manufacturer will be South Korea. Doesn't Mexico make a bike? |
