You're forgetting that Kawi's Ninja 250 has been bloating up w/ each new itineration.

It now weighs about 80 lbs more than it did in 2000!!!

The reality is that this bike is heavy for what it is, still slow, but now kinda expensive.

It does not weigh 80 lbs more than a 2007- model. That model weighed around 308 lbs dry. Not curb. And I own a ZX10R and would still love to get the new 300.

I know

It weighs 80lbs more than the 2000 model 250. And that bike came with a centerstand!
The 2007 - generation gained a lot of weight.
This latest one gained more, and got a big price jump.

I think the adulation for this 300 will be short lived once the reality sinks in ..

I'll just say that the second generation 250 is the one from 2008 to this year. The 2000 is the same as the 2007.

The new Guzzi V7, all 750cc's of it, weighs only 10lbs more than the Kawi 300!
And the Guzzi has a heavy shaft drive!

Well a 1967 Honda 305 Scrambler weighed about 385lbs. Probably got about as much hp too.
