Indeed. There is a pretty narrow window of opportunity to ride a lot of the high country stuff. Perfection awaits in late August/early September. By now you run the risk of cold and rain, and soon enough, snow.

Even in August, depending on the amount of snow present the past winter, this could happen. Had to turn around of course



There is lower country riding though, that is good well through October. The high country stuff is great in the dead of summer. Nice and cool up there!

Braved the high country in October. It was in the mid 50s down the hill, broke through the trees and it was like this. Temp dropped probably 30 degrees. Had all my gear on and was freezing, but it was so glorious!

Fer realz I've been bagging on Honda for years now (who hasn't?) but the CBR and CRF250 really have brought them back IMO.
I especially like the 2013 colours.

Motorcyclist recently published prices: $60 per fairing panel! And a tank is just $220. That's phenomenal.

Sounds like Honda is doing a loss leader thing with the little CBR's parts prices. Smart of them, as beginner bikes will get dropped. They can always bust the owner's chops later, when they drop their CBR1000...
