Vic has the better performing engine, seems to me they should differentiate themselves based on refining the power cruiser persona and leave the slow boat nostalgia thing to Harley. Going from inverted forks to conventional is a step backwards and those bars are ridiculous. Liking the seamless tank and new logo though.

A Vic Cross Roads is still my bagger of choice, if I ever buy a bagger...

Spot-on old boy, spot-on.

Their first mistake was not keeping the Polaris name.

Since Victory managed to weather the economic storm of a couple of years ago you gotta think they are doing something right. The motor has a lot more potential than HD's. And sounds like a Swiss watch versus a clattering steam engine. So, they try out this parts bin model to test the waters. Why not? For the price of an HD you get a better product.

Victory is high on the list of cruisers I'll never own.

I also dig the Vic crew, as they're a total underdog next to H-D, doing without Harley's iconic brand name and still surviving in a crappy market. It'll be interesting to see how the Vic story develops now that Indian will be the flagship cruiser. Knowing some of the Vic staff, I'd be surprised if they didn't lean toward a sportier direction.

Well, we've only been hearing hints and innuendo from Vic's higher-ups about a "Victory Sportbike" for something like 8 or 9 years now.....
