How can the initial offering be a 'SE'?
As much as I love the Hinckley Triumphs, this one looks a mess! There isn't a 'pleasing line' anywhere. Hopefully it is better looking in the paint! |
Needs more refinement
Even with the extra ponies and shaft drive I do not see this as a RT beater. Only a MO shootout will truly tell the tale.

Porker
100 lbs heavier?? Nein danke.

Apparently triumph figured the dork market was underserved.

Dude! Borderline plagiarism of an R1200RT?!?!???
BMW should sue them. I like Triumph but geez! I have a silver 2007 R1200RT and the silver Triumph in the article does look almost exactly like it. How does Triumph triumph? By copying BMW apparently. |
We'll see how people feel about it after twisting the wick of the Trumpet vs the RT.

BMW's S1000RR is a clone of the Japanese superbikes (albeit with bizzare non-styled bodywork). And how many clones of Harleys are out there, right down to the single-pin crankshafts? More than I care to count. It's a shame Triumph chose to mimic BMW so closely, but it's a predictable, and safe, choice. |
