A friend of mine has one of these - despite being a bit overtaxed on long-distance, "freeway-ish" rides, it is quite the Worthy Steed.
Excellent for skirting/avoiding "pavement irregularities" on the crappy Chicago streets he commutes. If only it were factory-equipped with fore/aft rocket-launchers and twin .30 machine-guns, it would be the perfect bike for dealing with Chi-town traffic, IMHO.

I have often thought of buying a light DP to tow behind my Xpro and this looks like the ticket. The tongue weight with a carrier would fall under the 500 lb. limit. I like it.

Don't forget that the DRZ engine is one that will go many many hours without destroying itself, unlike some of the other DPs with "new, improved" designs.

So Duke-r, how hard would it be to lower the suspension a bit for the inseam-challenged?

This dude has a 24" inseam...
A couple of them are talking about doing a TAT run, and he is looking for a suitable bike. Problem is, getting a bike with some ground clearance makes his reach a problem. A 125 or 250 is not quite adequate for highway travel, so the 400-650cc bikes are better candidates. I tried to sell him on using an old Honda CT-70. His response is not suitable for this gentle forum.
