I doubt we'll see anything but an updated Power Plus. It looks as good as anything, and it's the most important distinguishing characteristic for the company.

A longitudinally mounted inline-four would be better!

Anything with a v-twin will look derivative, or even similar to other offerings.

I was checking out the Confederate version of the X-Wedge at Bike Week. What a cool engine; if I were building a "Big Twin" bike I'd use one of the X's.

Yes. Yes it would.

'Specially a semi-air-cooled (with "backup" liquid cooling) one with grundles of funky heatsink-fins an' wondermous, lurvley machined castings.

Who'd give two shytes if it wasn't the "fastest thing on two wheels"?

It would most-assuredly be the Coolest, hands-down.

I say they ditch the Power Plus. I don't care how they dress it up, it's an Evo clone and always will be.

The Victory motor has tall jugs like the PP. They can probably just build "heritage" type bikes around that and save the Vic line for the "modern" style bikes.

Problem solved! I'm taking the rest of the day off.

You realize I've been seeing pictures of the "New Indian" motos with that POS Evo-ripoff "coin/bottlecap-head" engine since I was a teenager? (and two iterations of the Indian Moto Corporation ago)

I'm 41 now.

I would have the Janitor chuck the entire heap of rubbish into the dumpster; engineering diagrams, tooling and all, and get to designing/building a REAL Indian drivetrain.

Sadly, every single update I get from "Indian Motor Company" shows me they're faithfully (hopelessly) stuck in the "People want another Harley, only with fender-skirts and fringed saddlebags with conchas" line of thinking.

Just like the last two companies that attempted an updated-interpretation of the brand. And failed. Miserably. Disgustingly.

But they have T-Shirts and Coffee-Mugs for sale in their online store.

Yeah! Almost a 'steam-punk' level of 'industrial,' like the old bike engines. I mean, look at the Vincents, or the Arial Square-4. Gorgeous, 'clunky-looking' lumps!

You'd just have to have copper tubing, too!

Like Youngs' "Lakewood Special":

Maybe even individual exhaust (shorty) pipes...

Personally, I love the bottle-cap looks of the PP, and I don't think a refined Evo clone is much of a bad thing for an Indian.

The Vic motor is a good one, but I'd be surprised to see it in an Indian. The trick for Vic is how to edge away from Indian's territory. I'm guessing we'll see a new, non-V-Twin engine from them in the next couple of years so they can build bikes unlike the Indian line.

Now, get back to work!

Fook Yeah!

Only, they'd have to ditch "real" copper and merely electroplate steel lines - for reliability's sake. Otherwise, between vibration and work-hardening of copper, the durn things would break-down even MORE than the current POS they're tryin' to foist-upon the public.
