No, I don't recall seeing anything that specific.

So you have a deposit on a bike that they are how late in delivering?

I'm guessing [rubs temples] three to five years.

Man, I don't even remember now how long it's been. I signed up for the pre-delivery right after the announcement of the Empulse, which I'm sure was documented right here on MO. I'm committed to handing over $1K when the bike is 4 weeks from delivery. I still have the right to refuse delivery if the bike isn't what they promised. Not that I'm worried; Brammo so has completely voided any contract with their failure to deliver, that no court would ever find in their favor in a contract dispute.

It's a damn shame Brammo played it this way. They may have completely alienated the group of motorcyclists most likely to buy their product. Who can be confident in a company so flippant about annoucing a product, taking orders, and then just blowing it off?

I finally got to watch the video (they filter them at work). Zero says no to transmissions, eh? That's kinda sucks; even if it makes technical sense. Clutch and gearshift are so ingrained in the motoring experience for me that it seems like it would be hard to let it go.

Ah, so you hadn't yet put any money down, right? Yeah, Brammo blew a lot of goodwill with the Empulse. Brammo told us in December the bike will be ready by summer. Cross your fingers...

Nope, just the pre-delivery contract. Brammo should have demos at Bike Week; even if they're pre-production. There is no way I'll buy one without a demo. I've bought regular bikes w/o ever riding one (DL1000 for instance), but I knew exactly what to expect. With no knowledge base to draw on with E-Bikes, a demo is a must.

Or a MO review! Crossing fingers, not holding breath.

Default No Vaporware at Zero!

Wow, what a difference betwen Zero and Brammo. On Friday I visited the Zero website and filled in a "I'm interested in the S" form.

This morning I had an email from a Central Florida Zero dealer, inviting me to come up and ride their demo S-9. They have the full Zero lineup, are expecting several 6 and 9 S bikes in the next few weeks.
