Nice review. I like scooters. Heck, I like anything with two wheels. I used to have a kitted 150cc 2 stroke Stella with a 4 speed manual trans twist shifter. It's an Indian made Vespa PX150.

Anyway, it was a real hoot. I could lift the front wheel in the first three gears. The little beast really screamed. I miss it.

You wheelied the scooter? Really? You've been hanging out with Mr. Duke too much!

Yup, I wheelied it all the time. Man, I really do miss that thing.

I agree, anything with two wheels can be fun. Sounds like you had a good time on it. Harder to wheelie with a CVT, but I found it's not entirely impossible. Stay tuned for the pics in our upcoming shootout. :)

Kevin, I've seen guys wheelie a T-Max, but it's got some motor to it so I can understand how it can be done.

But if you're talking lifting the front wheel on one of these pip-squeak 125 twist n go's, then you are definitely the man.

I'm going to put my heart on my sleeve here and make a confession:

I can't wheelie.

Sure, I can do short power wheelies that lift the front a few inches for a 1/2 block, but I never learned how to bring it all the way up like Mr. Duke and everybody else who writes for moto-journos does. The last time I tried, ground-looped my R-5 and broke it. It's always been my secret shame.

T S, there's no shame in not being able to wheelie. Actually, you're better off!

No shame in not being able to wheelie, right, Troy...? It's really just a silly stunt, but it is fun to see. :)

The pavement feels the same

I fell on my scooter, and the pavement feels just as hard. So riding a scooter is no excuse for not wearing proper safety gear.

Anyone looking at this bike should compare with the Kymco Agility 125. Looks a lot like this Piaggio, I flail mine around town and consistently get 70mpg, it is super reliable, and you can probably get one for $1000 less than this Italian brand.
