I really, really like this bike.
The wheel and tire combo evokes Mickey Thompsons on Cragars. Not sure if that muscle-car homage on a bike is cool or not, though - we may be dipping a toe in American Chopper theme-bike territory. Also not digging the molded-in numberplate. A small louvered sidescoop might be more in line with the theme. I'd better stop. I like the bike, and I'm making it sound worse the more I type. |
I like it a lot, too. I might like it better if it had dual calipers up front, but that all depends on if it stops well or not with the single caliper it has.

Definitely an improvement over their last offering but I agree with both ya's, don't like the number plate and the single disk.
|
Thankfully, the giant rear tire fad is going the way of the dodo.
I remember riding the Hammer in a MO test down into Lake Elsinore hoping I wouldn't fly off the cliff before I got to the bottom. It was a battle around every turn. |

Well I'll be damned, a new Vic that doesn't make me throw up in my mouth.
I like the wheels and tires too; they really nailed the '70's muscle car look there. And the rest of it really does look like what the name implies. It's a new "platform" for Victory! |
Disclaimer
After review, I don't like anything about this bike.

Yawn. What a missed opportunity.

Why not 17" wheels for sport tire choices? Dual disks and better suspension to compete with the XR1200. I would buy it over the XR just to piss off the Harley guys.
For now, my Guzzi gives me all the grins I need. Maybe next year. |
