Being one that has broken in thirty or so Dyna Convertable's (they still make them?) I consider the Dyna to be a REAL motorcycle, not a porked up evil handling handfull, but a nice, good handling QUICK motorcycle that you can get a nice chirp out of 2nd gear when the conditions were right.
The soon-to-be rented Dynas embarrased many a sport bike pilot on the way to Newcombs for breakfast on Sundays long ago, and you could lean it over pretty far without grinding stuff, and lifting the rear wheel off the ground, turning yourself into a giant hamburger patty. I give the Dyna two thumbs up, five stars, etc.etc. And with all the hop up smit you can bolt on one, without really taking it apart is a big plus (along with the lack of valve adjustments, just like yo' Grandma's Caddy). Buy one, two even!

Here is a photo of my 1996 Low Rider with my grandmother on board (God rest her soul).
Excel aluminum hoops 21 front, 17 rear. Polished rotors and chrome lowers. Ditched the buckhorn for a flat bar with internal wiring (a big deal back then). Solo seat. Lightly modded engine. Granny loved it! ![]() |

I'd post photos of my beloved '77 FXS Low Rider, the Original Crispy Superglide that begat the Dyna line, but that would make me all depressed about selling it just to buy a frickin house.
That was a beautiful machine....
