I had an ST4.

Love the ST4s. I wasn't crazy about the bat barf gray paint though.

Nice photos and bike, Huss. I went the same route suspension-wise on my Sporty. Love those 440s.

And hey, kids - look at those scrapes on Huss's helmet. Imagine if it was his face.

@ Buz - the BatBarfGrey was in 2002. In 2003 it was the much nicer (IMO) Senna version with metallic gloss grey and red wheels.

@ shizuki - the 440s really transformed the bike. Balanced it and made it handle really nicely (as well as being able to absorb bumps). It turned it from a nice Harley to a nice bike, period! Thing is I got mine on clearance as apparently people were only interested in getting shorter than standard shocks, not longer...

Either way, Dynas are great bikes and the engine really works well in this size ride. The motor feels burstproof and really wants to munch down the miles. Recommended.

Nice! Glad to hear you're still in the saddle! I liked Ducati's ST line, but they never sold particularly well. The ST3 was my fave. Here's my report on the 2006 version.

Same experience here. More ground clearance, too - I was grinding just turning right at intersections. The 440s and a Mustang seat made a nearly unrideable bike thoroughly enjoyable.

The only drawback was my sidestand ending up way too short. Oh, and the first time I rode at night after the swap, my headlight gave a great view about 20 feet ahead.
