Dammit! Stop tempting me with tales of Moto-Wonder of the Hero astride his trusty steed, slaying the Asphalt-Dragon.....
I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1. I will not buy a New R1........

Hey Motorcycle.com Guys - how about a review of a 2011 (no TC) R1 equipped with a Bazzaz Z-Fi TC module vs. the 2012 with factory TC? Since the bikes are nearly identical save for the factory TC, I am very interested to see how the Bazzaz TC stacks up. What makes this comparison even more interesting is that the factory TC doesn't use bank-angle sensors, only wheel-speed sensors, while the Bazzaz unit relies on engine speed changes to sense traction. Finally, since you can get a Bazzaz Z-Fi TC module for around $650 street price and new/old-stock 2011 R1's are regularly going for around $11,500 or less, is the 2012 R1 with factory TC worth the roughly $2,000 premium?
Thanks! Jeff |
