Engine configuration list. List yours!
The topic of engine sounds got me thinking about how many different types of engines I've owned. Here are the list rules: It has to be transportation related so leave chainsaws and generators out of it. Only list each kind once. I've had 4 V8s for example but just list one.
Cars: Two chamber Wankel Rotary Inline 4 cylinder Inline 4 cylinder turbocharged Inline 6 Inline 6 turbocharged V8 Bikes: Aircooled Single 4 stroke Aircooled Single 2 stroke Aircooled Parallel Twin 2 Stroke Aircooled 45 degree V Twin 4 Stroke Aircooled 90 degree L Twin 4 Stroke (Desmo valves) Liquid Cooled 90 degree L Twin 4 Stroke (Desmo valves) Liquid cooled Inline 4 Liquid cooled Inline 6 Boat: V4 Ocean cooled 2 stroke I'm very diverse!

8 I-4s, both cars and bikes
3 V-twins of varied configurations 2 I-2 bikes 2 I-3 outboards 2 V-6s, one motor vehicle, one outboard Several small 1-cylinder utility items ie: mowers, weed eaters The Yamaha I-3 outboard was a game changer that crushed OMC and Mercury. The Yamaha put out 90 hp at the prop, where the domestic motors were V-4s that weighed almost twice as much and had (maybe) 100 hp at the power head. Not to mention they NEVER broke down, where the last OMC I owned spent more time broken down or in the shop than on the water...literally.

Not all were pleasing, some were downright loud as F*** (the Daytona's Turbo after porting screamed both on and off Boost like a Woman being attacked), some I wish I had back, some I'm glad I haven't gotten-rid of.
